The oven won’t heat

If you smell gas
Don’t use the range or switch anything on or off. Leave the house and call SDG&E or 911 from outside. A gas smell is an emergency for the gas company, not a scheduled repair.
Is your oven or range worth repairing?
Usually. Ranges are built to last, and elements, igniters, sensors, gaskets and hinges are all reasonable repairs. A control board costs more, but on a good range it’s still often worth it. Replacement makes more sense when an older, basic range needs several major parts at once, or when the repair approaches half the price of a comparable new one.
What the visit costs
The diagnostic visit is $89 for residential properties and $129 for commercial properties. It covers finding the cause and explaining your options, including what the repair will involve.
Oven and range questions
My oven door is locked after a self-clean cycle. What do I do?
Let the oven cool completely, which can take an hour or more. If the door still won’t unlock, try turning off the breaker for a few minutes to reset the controls. If it stays locked, book a visit.
Do you repair cooktops too?
Yes. We repair cooktops with burners that won’t light or heat and controls that don’t respond. Choose Cooktop when you book.
